3G in India by MTNL and Motorola
It is indeed a happy new year for the MTNL mobile subscribers of Mumbai and New Delhi. On 19 dec 08, MTNL and Motorola proudly launched the conutry’s first 3G network and service facility. The first historic 3G call was made by hon’ble Prime Minister of India Dr.Manmohan Singh. The fisrt video call was enabled by Motorola’s 3G network and was made on Motorola’s Motorola2 v9 Ferrari special edition mobile phone.
Now, with the availability of the 3G network in Mumbai and New Delhi, mobile subscribers of MTNL in those metros are granted with the latest 3G services like,
- High speed data transfers
- Video call/conferencing
- Mobile broadband internet
- Streaming videos
- Mobile Tv
- and much more fun
MTNL has selected Motorola’s next-generation 3G network infrastructure that includes radio access network, core network elements and various services like project management, networks deployments and system integration.
With the lauch of 3G network by MTNL and Motorola, now its only a matter of time the other networks rush in to get early subscribers. As India being one of the worlds top mobile marketing platforms, the foriegn operators wouldn’t dare to loose market either. Anyway, its happy for the customers to choose the best from a variety of plans.
